From an early age, I was able to experience the joys of deep sea fishing and close-up encounters with various marine life. This was more than enough to ignite my passion for marine animals, which easily became my study path in school. My studies and experiences have shaped my passions for marine life, specifically revealing an unexpected love for parasites! This odd fascination has moved me across the country from Georgia to Colorado, and finally Washington where I work in a lab that focuses on parasite ecology, primarily of marine animals.

From oceans to creeks, I was fascinated by what could be going on below the surface. I'm very grateful and privileged to have grown up with so many opportunities to be on the water and spark my passion for marine and aquatic life.
